SILENCE
One of the purest forms of worship.
The soul, as it ascends into the heights of God, will reach a point wherein words will fail to describe Christ the treasure. And as words evaporate, it is left in silence alone — enraptured in the dark cloud of unknowing, yet knowing. Surrounded in awe, it wordlessly adores.
He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. Psalms 18:11
And here David defines the secret place - the realm of absolute unknowing, yet knowing. This unknowing is the removal of our preconceived notions and ideas of God. To know Him, is to un-know.
